Every week we recognize one special employee and give them a High Five. This week, we’re recognizing a whole team of them! Andrew, Patrick, Roy and JP from TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Etobicoke were the movers who helped with a very special move.
As a continued supporter of charitable organizations, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Canada franchisees often take part in charitable events by donating trucks and movers. In December, one lucky little boy moved into his new fully-accessible home with some help from TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Etobicoke.
Thomas Bourke is a 10 year old boy born with cerebral palsy and requires assistance in all daily mobility and living skills. Despite these challenges, Thomas strives to participate in his life to its fullest capacity. To assist with this, Thomas’ family needed to move into a new home with open space for wheelchair use, enlarged doorways for accessibility, dedicated storage for Thomas’ equipment, etc.
Thomas’ mother Linda was seeking community help to reduce the costs of moving to this new fully-accessible home. She came to our office in Etobicoke to talk about Thomas and the impending move. Robert Szczypek, Owner and General Manager of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Etobicoke, was more than happy to donate a move to help them out.
Spent the day helping Thomas’ family move with @TwoMenCanada who were incredible. Project details: http://t.co/EtPfjPZvIs
