The busiest moving season is approaching fast. Don’t leave all the cleaning and packing to the last minute! In the fourth and final part of this blog series, we’re covering bedroom-specific cleaning tasks.
First things first: laundry. Take all dirty clothes, bedsheets, pillow cases, blankets and area rugs, and then throw it all in the laundry. You may need to do several loads, so plan ahead!
Next, sweep underneath and behind your bed and dressers to remove anything that’s fallen in behind your furniture. You never know what lost treasure you may find!
Declutter all hard surfaces, including dressers, end tables, bookshelves and desks. Ruthlessly throw out any trash, loose papers, and other odds and ends that have been laying around for weeks. Set aside the items you want to keep by putting them on your bed for now.
Dust all hard surfaces, followed by a wipe down with a non toxic disinfectant cleaner. Once the surfaces have been cleaned, you can replace all your personal items and knickknacks.
Once the laundry is done, put your clean clothes back in the dresser, make your bed, and replace any area rugs. Now that wasn’t so bad, was it? As long as you take it one step at a time, cleaning your whole house is a snap!
