This Friday, we’re sending out a High Five to Brad & Tori from our Newmarket, Aurora location!
We asked Jan Daly, CSR and Dan Arlow, Marketing and Operations of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Newmarket and Aurora, to tell us about their two incredible move heroes, here’s what they had to say:
“During one of our recent moves, our crew members Brad & Tori heard a woman calling out for help. When then went to investigate, they found a woman lying on the floor of her apartment by her front door. The door was ajar but a chain latch was stopping the crew from being able to get inside the apartment to assist the lady.
Our crew, stopped their current job, explained to their customer what was happening and went to help the lady in distress.
As the chain latch was preventing them from getting in, they did try to see if they could try to slide it off so they could get inside. Unfortunately, this was not possible. The tenant let Brad and Tori know that her family had installed it to keep her safe in the building. Clearly, these devices do work to keep people out but was not beneficial in this situation! The lady told Brad that she was okay if he needed to break the latch to get in to assist her. Brad asked her to turn her face away from the door and cover her eyes as he needed to use a hammer and screwdriver to break the chain.
The client we were moving called the lady’s family during this process. Once the chain was off, our crew made sure the lady was not injured and assisted her into a chair. This lady as well as our client was extremely thankful for the thoughtfulness of Brad and Tori.”
These two incredible move heroes are truly Movers Who Care® . It’s stories and compassion such as this, that makes us more than just a moving company. Thank you Brad and Tori for your outstanding work and for living our Core Values. High Five!
