This week’s High Five Friday goes out to Kari Campbell, from Oshawa and Peterborough, Ontario!
Our Core Purpose here at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is Moving People Forward and that goes for our employees as much as it does for our customers. The TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchise system offers fantastic opportunities for career growth and advancement. So this week we want to highlight one of the many people who have moved their careers forward with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®.
Kari Campbell was one of the earliest examples here in Canada, of an outstanding employee making the most of her opportunities with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®. Kari started as a Customer Service Representative with the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Oshawa franchise when it opened in 2007, and with a lot of hard work and a genuine care for her customers and staff, she was made a partner in the business in 2009.
When Brad Foster decided to open a TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchise in Oshawa, he brought in his friend Kari as their first Customer Service Representative. He’d known Kari for a long time and knew he could trust her to take great care of their customers. What he couldn’t know was how quickly she would learn and excel at all the different aspects of running the business.
Helping a new location grow and establish itself in the community is no easy feat, and being one of the earliest franchises to open here in Canada made it even more challenging. Oshawa was only our 5th location to open and along with Hamilton, London, Mississauga South and Halton, it was their responsibility to bring a whole new level of customer service to the moving industry here, and establish our reputation as the Movers Who Care®.
Kari helped to do just that. Her partner Brad said,
“Kari lives our Core Value, Care. She’s responsible for the day to day operations at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Oshawa, and after one conversation you can tell how much she really cares about our staff and the customers we serve every day. From day one, she took on more than she was responsible for as a CSR. After a couple of years seeing her work, act, and treat people as if she owned the business, I figured I better make it official. I couldn’t have a better partner in this business.“
Kari helped grow the Oshawa location from their humble beginning to operating 6 moving trucks and employing about 40 movers and drivers in peak season. They opened a satellite office in Peterborough in 2013.
So thank you, Kari. Being known as the Movers Who Care® doesn’t just happen because we say it. It happens because we do it. We’re all proud to be a part of a company that provides such a wide variety of career opportunities. Thank you for being a great example of how a person can start out as a CSR, and end up being a business owner. High Five!
