We are very proud of how our franchisees embrace our core value of Giving Back the Community. This year, getting into the holiday spirit of giving, our franchisees at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® got together and donated a defibrillator to St. Luke’s Community Centre, located in Oakville.
Our Mikey On Board partners, The Mikey Network, place defibrillators in as many public places as possible. Our franchisees wanted to make a difference in a community in need, so they contacted The Mikey Network to see how they could help. The centre had reached out to The Mikey Network to see if they could get a defibrillator donated, so it was good timing for our franchisees to step up and help out.
St. Luke’s Community Centre is a non-profit organization used by a variety of groups, and serves a range of ages from toddlers to seniors. The centre runs a food assistance program, several physical fitness activities, and their facility is used by other nonprofit organizations to hold meetings and events. The centre is also connected to a church which is largely attended.
The St. Luke’s Community Centre staff are now trained on how to use the AED as well as CPR, and everyone who visits the centre is now safer thanks to the generosity of our TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchisees.
