Things a Professional Moving Company Can’t Move

June 29, 2017 By A Very Moving Blog Leave a Comment

Moving Tips

By law, a moving company can’t transport hazardous materials such as gasoline, bottled gases and other flammables, ammunition and explosives. Sometimes, this includes a lot of items you might not have thought about.

  • Cans of paint
  • Household cleaning solutions – bleach, furniture polish, floor wax, oven cleaner, drain cleaner, etc.
  • Bottles of anti-freeze
  • Propane tanks
  • Cans of hairspray
  • Gas-powered tools with full gas tanks – lawn mowers, snow blowers, etc.

Double check the labels on all these common household items and ask your movers which items they are legally allowed to transport.
