Today was such a great day!
We had the honour of welcoming Greg Sarney, Director of Partnerships from Red Cross Canada to our Canadian Head Office. We presented a cheque for $13,000 in support of the Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal.
“The Canadian Red Cross is grateful to Two Men and a Truck for this donation in support of our Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal. We have so far contributed $82.5 million to the international Red Cross response, with approximately two-thirds of that amount to support people in Ukraine and one-third to help people displaced in other countries. In addition, thanks to support from the Government of Canada, Canadian Red Cross has sent 31,000 emergency relief items, such as blankets, tarps and cooking supplies to the region to support those affected,” said Greg Sarney, Director, Corporate Partnerships, Canadian Red Cross.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Ukraine. There should be no place for the brutality war brings to women, children, and men in our current times. It’s during times like these, that we must support each other, especially those with friends and family currently in Ukraine. The continued violence in Ukraine breaks our hearts. We are thinking of the people in Ukraine who are experiencing extreme travesties in a place they call home.” said, John Prittie, President & CEO, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK ® Canada
