It all began as an after school job for her two sons, but soon expanded into something more. Mary Ellen’s sons, Brig and Jon, bought an old pick up truck and began moving people as a way to make extra money. Their mom helped them out in many ways – creating official forms to keep track of customer’s information and coming up with the infamous “Stick Man” logo.
Did you know she just sat down at the table one day and sketched out the logo on the top of a moving sheet? It’s the same logo we continue to use to this day.
After Brig and Jon left for college, Mary Ellen continued to receive requests for movers. So what did she do? She continued on with the business, of course. She purchased an old moving truck for $350 dollars and hired a couple of movers. The rest, as they say, is history!
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK now has 1,300 moving trucks on the road, with over 200 locations worldwide. None of this would have been possible without our original mom, Mary Ellen.
